Formatters and validators
The developer tools on Nouplo for reading, checking and reshaping code and data: formatters and minifiers, validators, diffs and testers, and conversions between JSON, XML, CSV, YAML, SQL and Markdown. Everything runs in your browser, so pasted data stays on your machine.
Format and minify

Your data stays on this page. ‹› XML formatter Indented to be read, or squeezed to one line to be sent. ⌗ SQL formatter A query you can read, from one you were handed. ‹› HTML formatter Indented so you can read it, or squeezed so you can ship it. ◒ CSS formatter One declaration to a line, or the whole file on one. • JavaScript minifier Smaller, and provably the same code.

Frequently asked questions
- Is my code or data sent to a server?
- No. Parsing, formatting and comparing all run in your browser, so you can paste API responses, configuration and logs with tokens or customer data in them without anything leaving the page.
- What happens when the input is invalid?
- You are told where the problem is rather than handed a guess: the JSON formatter gives the line and column of the first error, and the YAML validator names the line it could not read and shows the lines around it.
- Why do some cards lead to another site?
- The plain file conversions, such as CSV to JSON and JSON to YAML, are on Nouplo’s converter site. The cards say where they lead.
- Is it free?
- Yes, with no account and nothing to install.
